Who Should Apply

The Global Fashion Management Experience

Study around the world. Taught by an international faculty of industry experts, you’ll study technology, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and retail in New York; luxury industries in Paris; small-scale production, emerging economies, and artisanal design in Mexico City; and production and supply chains in Asia. A seminar session—lasting a week to 10 days—takes place at each of the four program partner campuses, where you’ll learn the business and cultural skills required to work with global companies, including training in leadership, finance, creativity, problem solving, writing, communication, and presentation.



Work collaboratively—and cross-culturally. Because all four international seminars are attended simultaneously by student cohorts from all four programs, you’ll learn firsthand how to create consensus, build teamwork, negotiate cultural differences, and arrive at high-level decisions in an intense, pressured environment.

Areas of Study

Intensive seminars take place in New York, Paris, Asia, and Mexico City. Courses include business policy, finance, marketing and fashion brand management, politics and trade, supply chain, retail, entrepreneurship, and capstone thesis.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

Graduates are prepared for high-level managerial positions in the international fashion industry. They are equipped to assemble, motivate, and manage international teams of professionals, and to guide an organization through the uncharted waters of international business with maximum efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

Capstone Thesis Project

Student teams explore industry-related and entrepreneurial challenges that reflect current and future practices and trends; emphasis is on global and domestic business concerns, such as supply chain, sourcing, marketing, and finance. Students conduct research over four semesters, develop creative solutions, and present recommendations to a panel of faculty and executives. Students also collaborate with students and professors from the Cardozo School of Law to explore counterfeit, trademark, copyright, and intellectual property law.
