The Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing and Management Experience

Study product development in the only working fragrance laboratory on an American college campus. The Annette Green Fragrance Foundation Studio is a professional-level fragrance studio.

Beauty industry history, cosmetics and fragrance product innovation, consumer behavior, managing the creative process, commerce management, brand development, corporate finance, leadership, social and digital media, global supply chain management

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

Of our more than 350 alumni, a significant percentage have been promoted to senior executive positions (vice president or above) in major cosmetics and fragrance companies. This program is a proven pathway to advancement into top-level management.

INTERNATIONAL FIELD COURSES

Students are required to participate in two overseas field study courses. Courses include visits to multiple markets in a global region; past destinations include: Europe (London, Paris, Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Madrid), Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing and Tokyo), and North Africa (Marrakesh).

MASTER’S THESIS/CAPSTONE PROJECT

Working in small teams over the course of the final semester, students develop an innovative, in-depth, interdisciplinary approach to a strategic topic assigned by the faculty. Teams present research results to an audience of 700 faculty and industry experts; students will also present findings to industry conferences, retailers, and executives at leading consumer product companies.
